Resource Allocation

  • PHP Memory Limit: Each hosted site is allocated 512MB of PHP memory. This is designed to optimize your site’s performance and reliability. Should you require additional memory, please contact our support team for assistance.
  • Storage and Bandwidth: Specific storage and bandwidth limits are provided according to your chosen hosting plan. We monitor usage to ensure fair access to resources for all users. Exceeding plan limits may result in additional charges or the need to upgrade your plan.
  • Database Usage: We maintain a high-performance database environment. To ensure fair usage and optimal performance for all users, sites with excessive database queries or large databases may require optimization or an upgrade to a higher plan.

Prohibited Uses

  • Illegal Activities: Any form of illegal activity, including but not limited to phishing, distributing malware, and copyright infringement, is strictly prohibited.
  • Resource Abuse: Activities that significantly exceed average usage patterns and negatively impact other users’ experience are not allowed. This includes excessive CPU and memory usage that affects the overall server performance.
  • Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk messages or operating spam-related websites on our servers is prohibited.

Content and Data

  • Backups: Regular backups are conducted; however, users are encouraged to maintain their own backups. SilkWP.com is not responsible for data loss due to user actions or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Security: Users are responsible for the security of their WordPress sites, including keeping WordPress and plugins up to date. We provide tools and recommendations to enhance site security.

Support and Maintenance

  • Support: Our support team is available to assist with hosting-related issues and to provide guidance on best practices for site management.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: We perform regular maintenance to ensure the integrity and performance of our hosting environment. Users will be notified in advance of any scheduled maintenance that may affect their service.

Policy Enforcement

Violations of this Fair Use Policy may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of services, depending on the severity of the violation. We reserve the right to remove content or disable sites that violate this policy without prior notice.
